Glued them together and weighted down with line and weight. Not perfect for everyone straight out of the packaging but with a little thought and diy they did the job. Not sure what else you could use, all ponds will be different so you need to make them work for your individual needs. I didn’t mind that. I even trimmed a couple of the pads, just because I thought they needed shaping after gluing them together.
