Having the USB outlets put my mind at ease knowing my devices wouldn’t be zapped/fried. I bought two of these guys and worked like a charm! I even utilized this guy on the airplane, too! The only caveat I find, though despite it being super helpful, is the LED light when it’s plugged-in. Because most of the outlets where I stayed were above table top, it would illuminate the room at night making it hard to sleep. However, it did come in handy as a night light. I just wish I could turn it off. Also, the unit is so boxy and heavy, I found it hard to stay put inside the outlet. I had to find items, like stacked books, to help prop it up enough to stay in. I would worry a little that it would slowly start falling out of the outlet and cause a surge. Although this didn’t happen, it still made me nervous.
