Ideal to pair with an inline noise reducer or 4 wire PWM fan speed controller to further reduce fan RPMs and thus lower noise, if there is no ability to do this on motherboard, utilizing BIOS settings or a software application. Fan is load at full speed, but when speed is reduced to about 2,500 RPM, fan will run very quietly, while moving a lot air and keeping system cool. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nearly-silent, but only if configured correctly. *by N***K on April 11, 2015* I used this fan to replace the 60mm fan which came with my case for my AMD AM1 mini-pc: "Linkworld Electronic Home Theater Media PC Case - 920-01 C2121U (Black)"It should be noted that this fan sounds like a mini jet engine at the highest setting. On my first boot after installation, I literally laughed out loud at how loud this little fan is. However, thanks to my Asus AM1I-A motherboard, I just installed Asus AI Suite III, and that program allows me to control and configure fan speed easily. When this fan is configured to run at the lowest setting, it's fairly silent (definitely quieter than my case's stock fan) and it's still powerful enough to help keep my system ALWAYS below 40 degree Celsius.The fan is still pretty loud at boot, though, despite changing the BIOS settings. I'm not sure what has caused that, but that's why I'm taking off a star.
