Very nicely and carefully packaged to avoid shipping damage, I'm pleased to announce that they were unharmed! And they're so cute and sturdy and very charming.I bought these for 2 reasons: One, I thought it might be a better hat for outdoor activities. Regular sunhat bands make me miserable--they're either too tight or too loose, and either way they ruin my make-up and hair. These either rest comfortably on the top of your head (I'll add a ribbon to that one to secure it at my chin), or they have a little rigid ring inside that sets on top of your head. Neither one is going to squeeze your head or mess up your hair or makeup.The other reason for buying these is to fashion a sunhat to wear with my Middle Eastern/Asian/World Traveler renaissance festival costume. These fests are so hot and sunny here in the Carolinas and my seriously white skin doesn't stand a chance.
