Probably because I was a bit too colorful with my wording on how frustrating it was to put this together (I said, “from human to f ing human”). Basically this is not an easy assembly at all. Use your head and don’t follow the instructions. Assemble all the L screws first (see pictures) and then put it together. The pilot holes made it very difficult to screw in the screws. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great product if you're handy. *by G***E on Reviewed in the United States on October 31, 2019* I bought four of these bookcases to organize an office closet. Four units perfectly fill a normal (six by Seven foot) home closet. I almost didn't buy these due to the negative reviews. Most of the bad reviews have to with assembly and I can understand why people had problems. At the least, you need basic handyman skills or past experience assembling furniture to assemble this item properly. You'll also need an electric drill, electric screwdriver and rubber mallet. I assembled three of these in one afternoon. As always, the first was the hardest, but the second and third units took about 30 minutes each. I found the product well made and of consistent quality and production. Each piece is well marked and the instruction manual is very good, but you'll need good spatial skills, as the instruction contains no text, just drawings. Once assembled, the bookcase is very sturdy. A lot of the sturdiness is due to the back panel. Even thought it's tedious to install, (a zillion screws with no pilot holes) it's what keeps lateral movement to a minimum. In summary, this is a high quality product , considering it's affordable price. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Done. *by M***3 on Reviewed in the United States on October 6, 2019* Can't find the instructions. Took me 2 days to get halfway through, bc doing it alone is a major PITA for me. It's half assembled, and holding dog food in the pantry, bc at this point, I'm ready to throw it straight out the door. If I find the instructions, maybe I'll update it.
