It should just be a small press and not go all the way into the unit. This unit is a bit on the heavy side so be aware of that when packing I would say this thing weights close to five pounds more or little less. It is pretty compact so it can fit in most backpacks. It comes with its own carrying bag as well that will protect it from external scratches. The outer layer is a pretty anti slide surface in my opinion so you are not going to be sliding this off of the desk or anything. This battery pack is pretty strong. I tried to power a monitor with it and it actually did for several minutes before running out of power although I would not recommend using this battery for that purpose but it is definitely a good thing to note about it. I was able to power a laptop with no battery for about four hours alone on just this device alone. Be aware that this device does get warm while it is in usage so be careful not to have this device say under a blanket or inside the carrying case when you are using it as the carrying case is made of insulated material. There are also several USB ports to plug in your phone if you need to. You can charge your phone about six to seven times over before needing to recharge your device again. It does come with a type c cable and the charging cable you can plug into the wall.
