He’s 6 and in 1st grade. I happen to teach at the same school and his teacher came to me to let me know he had begun voraciously chewing his pencils, crayons, erasers, etc. so I searched Amazon and came across this (among others). Many others talked about lack of durability, but this one seemed promising, so I took a risk. So glad I did! It doesn’t even look like he’s used it, yet he does all the time! He did end up chewing up the plastic connector pieces on the ends of the string, so I had to cut them off and tie a knot, but otherwise, it’s been great. The only negative - at $12, I feel it’s a bit pricey. Otherwise, it’s held up well and I’m happy I decided on this one. He loves it and it helps curb his tendency to chew things he shouldn’t.
