I ride my bike every day and use it as my only form of transportation. I would pay more for a rear derailer if necessary. However, this one is just fine. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Upgrade to Tourney TX *by on Reviewed in the United States October 7, 2020* I had a Shimano Tourney TX 8s derailleur on my MTB that decided it wanted to be a wheel instead of a derailleur... it didn't end well.Derailleurs are hard to come by with the explosion of biking during the pandemic, especially 8s and 9s derailleurs. This option allowed me to get back on the trails about 2 weeks ahead of what my LBS was offering. In addition, this was about the same price as buying a Tourney TX 8s derailleur, so I got to upgrade for about the same price as repairing to the same quality.I've been very happy with its performance, but I should say that this is an entry level derailleur. I am looking to upgrade my whole MTB in the future. If you're looking for upgrades to this, I'd look to Deore (Shimano) or if you can make the jump, go for entry level SRAM.
