Overall I am extremely happy with the item, it is ceramic, a nice weight, comes with a bamboo lid and a silicone seal that keeps the butter fresh at room temperature for a few weeks at a time, which makes it perfectly spreadable. The top of the bamboo lid has an indentation that holds the really attractive butter spreader and if you flip it over it doubles as a small cutting board. This is the one thing that I have always wanted, but didn't realize I needed it so.
