## Description

More effective irrigation of all types of pots/containers in all growing mediums. Drip emitters and stakes only provide a single point of irrigation making it hard for water/nutrient solution to evenly saturate a container. The water ring has 54 perfectly positioned pores to evenly irrigate containers eliminating dry pockets of growing medium.; Kit contains 3 removable stakes to keep water rings in place around each plant. The water ring can also be used without the stakes if desired. The water ring has a 1 inch gap on one end to allow it to be placed around large plants without damaging the stalks. Can be used indoors or out in soil or hydroponics. Durable construction allows for years of use. Can be easily cleaned between growing cycles. Create your own flexible irrigation kits easily and cheaply with any inch I.D. tubing and inch fittings (not included). Please note that adding inch ball valves may be necessary to create an even flow to all water rings in large installations.

Review: They work well, and as expected for my setup. - They work well, I fitted mine without the spikes, hot glued on top of 6" Net cup lids in a 5 gallon pail setup (4 of them), so they sit flush. They water right on the outside of the medium (soil) and they are on a ART DNE type timer system with drains. Five gallon pails because it makes for more room and time if things go wrong. For me they perform their task well as I live alone and am away driving a Big truck for 8-12 days at a time. Beats a plant sitter. These things allow me to just come home and prune, tweak and fuss and let me enjoy the Berries, Green Onions and what ever else I have going on. The Garlic doesn't need them, they are a lot slower and are on their own in self contained pails, no flood and drain, just single pails in a DWC. All of this inside the house for all the same reasons. Different drain rates for those Greens that need it and I'm rolling! The rings are convenient and feel good and sturdy, we'll see how they do in a while, sofar one trip and home without problems. I'd recommend them even just because they work good. Hope that helps.
Review: Perfect companion with Hydroton Clay Balls - Can't imagine a more perfect constant water source for plant pots using clay balls. They're a little difficult to sanitize after use, but after a 24 hour soak in 10% solution of peroxide and using air to clean out the pores, they are like new and ready for the next grow. These are excellent. The one draw back I have is the price (which isn't that bad) which is slightly more than another brand that does the same excellent job.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: How many GPH?**
A: 100 GPH is about right. We have six plants and found that the Ecoplus 396 GPH pump did not have enough power. We now use an Ecoplus 633 GPH pump and it works well.
We made a manifold of 1/2” Rainbird valves and set them all to about 50% open. A lot of attention into making things as equal as possible, like making all tubes the same length.
It is fast. Our system takes about 1 minute to deliver nearly 2 gallons, so we use a timer that lets you set seconds.

**Q: can a person gravity feed and use the ring to water**
A: Yeah, shouldn't be a problem. 1/2 feed tube goes to about 50 holes @ 35 micron. Get a 100-150 micron sediment filter if you are going to be gravity feeding. I used a 1500 gph fountain pump that turned on every 4 hours just to re-initiate a vacuum feed. You could probably get away with half that power. I had six buckets on mine.

**Q: I have 1/4" drip line tubing - how would I connect the tubing to your product? Do you have any reccomendations?**
A: I used 3 1" cuts of different-sized clear vinyl tubing to step down - where the largest fits the 1/2" barb on the Halo, next smaller size fits inside the first piece on the barb; next smaller size inside that, and my 1/4" drip line fits inside that. I'm a home brewer and already had spare tubing/hoses. There's no pressure in mine as I gravity feed from a reservoir above the halo/plant and the 1/4" drip hose simply twists out to move the plant.

**Q: How are these supposed to work in a dwc bucket? Do i just attach a pump from the res at the bottom of bucket to this?**
A: I have a small pump in the reservoir connected to the water halo using a 1/2 in ID hose.
