Dan Johnston compiled information from the internet about your personality type - technically, you could do this yourself, but the book does it for you well with a few insights from the author. I admire him for publishing this himself although a tad more editing would have been appreciated. The author also offers additional value in providing worksheets to maximize how much you absorb and apply from the book; in addition, he offers you the opportunity to enroll in a 5-part email workshop series. Clearly, he wants you to get the most out of reading the book. Overall, I enjoyed the book and it clearly showed me how to work on improving myself. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Jung is my favorite, and this test *by L***T on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on October 30, 2014* In the past year two signigicant items stand out which have helped me immensely. One of them is Susan Cain's definitive book on introversion. The other is the re-discovery of the Myers-Briggs test. Of the early pioneering phychiatrists, Jung is my favorite, and this test, based on Jung's theories, has served me well.I am an INFJ. Through and through. INFJ stands for: Introverted, iNtuitive, Feeling, Judging. (The book explains this well) My temperament is apparently one of the most rare (1% of the population) and believe me, I am not bragging. It means growing up and believing that "You're weird" is your middle name. But at this point I wouldn't trade it for the world.No two people are alike, including INFJ's. But this book has summed up a lot of common characteristics. The INFJ is often artistic and/or philosophical, artistic, innovative. It includes such luminaries as Mahatma Ghandi, Chaucer, Simone de Bouvoire. The list also includes (unfortunately) Adolph Hitler and Heinrich Himmler.One list even included Jesus, although I think He is much bigger than the Myers-Briggs test. But I digress.INFJ'S more often than not are sensitive people and in spite of appearances are introverted. As I read this, I was amazed at how close it came to my own personality. I am friendly and I can and do initiate conversations and value my friendships. Like many INFJs, I'm often mistaken for an extrovert, but I'm not. I mind my own business almost to a fault, and while I'm not a hermit, I still prefer small groups to huge ones, and I need time alone to recharge my inner batteries. I can be very talkative - exceot when I'm not - and am independent individualist to the core.I strongly recommend reading these series on the personality types. Human beings can't be shoved into boxes, but studies on general characteristics can help us to be more comfortable in our own individual skin. ### ⭐⭐⭐ This was a great little book *by J***I on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on August 24, 2015* This was a great little book. And when I say LITTLE that's what I mean. There wasn't much to it. The information doesn't go much deeper than your average myers-briggs summary of the type.
