**Q: Has anyone noticed the coating on the bottom of the pan coming off? My towel had some gray material on it when I dried the pan after the first wash.**
A: I have not had problems with that at all. If you are washing the pan in the dishwasher you may be experiencing that. I always hand wash my pans. It sounds like the result of washing aluminum in the dishwasher and getting that gray oxidation. Where the handle attaches to the pan it seems to be made of aluminum. Maybe that is where your problem is.  Just hand wash with Dawn soap. It's a great pan.
