Jeremiah's Pick Coffee Kona Blend, Light Roast Whole Bean Coffee, 10 Ounce Bag

I am currently going through the selection of light-roast coffee beans Amazon has to offer on a quest for the perfect light-roast coffee. I drink a cup of coffee every morning. In general, my bags of coffee beans last quite a while so like some tea connoisseurs, I don't mind spending a little more on the good stuff.This coffee is great. When you see the beans in the bag, it's obvious this is a light roast unlike others that claim to be.It's a very good blend of beans that won't leave that bitter left-over taste on the sides of your tongue like darker roasts or many that claim to be light roast coffees that really aren't. Even if you make it strong, the color is very reddish. Extremely smooth taste.Recently, I served this at a family party and even with the pies and cakes for desert, people were asking about the coffee and talking about how good it was.Obviously, this is one of the better light roasts out there.--- Edit Jul 12, 2012 ---This is the best light roast out there. After trying many different brands, I've found most companies do not know how to do a light roast. Starbuck's Blonde is laughable and equivalent to most French roasts. Other light roasts from other lesser-known and better-known brands I've tried so far all introduce strange unsavory flavors/bitterness or have no right to call their coffee 'light roast' because the beans are just plain barbecued.At this point, since I prefer light roasts, Jeremiah's Pick Coffee Kona Blend is the best coffee I've ever had. I might still try others, but I'll keep coming back to this as a point of comparison.

I did not rate "sheerness" nor "thickness" as I've never heard of those terms for coffee flavors and taste. I like this blend because it is fairly smooth, clean, and has a nutty aroma with overtones of cocoa. It produces a pretty good cream in my Gaggia expresso machine as well. It's quite good for the price. Not quite as good as the artisanal single origin coffees, but close and very convenient (Amazon shipping).

This is a very clean-tasting, mild morning coffee. I gave up the big brand a while back, and it's hard to find a decent variety in the light to medium roast end of the spectrum. The roast is a little darker than Caribou's Morning Blend or the Don Pablo light roast organic, but there's no burnt favor in the cup or oily residue in my grinder.Worth trying if you are burnt out on darker roasts.

Light roast? You have got to be kidding! This stuff is dark for a medium roast! And it's sorta bitter for a Kona blend. Why is it so hard to find someone who gets it right? Light roast is medium brown and so aromatic you csan identify it with your eyes closed.False labeling!

I also received coffee beans that were labeled Light Roast, but which didn't appear to be that. The beans were dark and oily like a dark roast. Moreover the coffee tasted like the roast and nothing else. I emailed and the seller did apologize and sent me replacement coffee, but the replacement beans were only marginally less dark if at all and also tasted only of the roast. Disappointing, though I credit them for their customer service.

Not a light blend at all. The flavor was lacking. The after taste was blah. I won’t be able to purchase more of this.

I shouldn't drink coffee. My stomach cannot handle the acidity in most coffees. NO problem with this coffee. It is delicious.

This is truly one of the best light roast coffees I have had. It is subtle & smooth as the label suggest, love the slight nutty & caramel flavor of this coffee. Drank it right up and will be ordering more.
