Have been using these shin guards for several months now and can't deadlift without them. They are still tight but now I know to velcro the middle strap first and then the top then the bottom. I have a pair of Shin Savers from ST but you have to take your shoes off to put them on. These were exactly what I was looking for but they just BARELY fit and are hard to put on. I hope they relax a bit with use. I am 5'10" and 240lbs with 18" calves. They fit but I have to "STRETCH" them pretty hard. REALLY wish they made a Small and Large size. The name of the company is "Fit Guys" but I think they must be "skinny guys". I have used them for two sessions and Like them a lot but if they were a bit bigger would be pure LOVE! If your calves are much bigger than mine they won't work.

I had used these for about a year. They held up pretty well while I was consistent with the gym and deadlifting. Super comfortable and easy to take on/off. I truly think the durability factor depends on form. There is absolutely no reason to forcefully press the bar against and scrape the hell out of your shins. Yes, it is ideal to keep the bar as close to your shins as possible but there is definitely an extent to this and a point of overdoing it. And yes, at times things happen. For example, I haven’t been powerlifting in the gym for a while. I lost touch in what I used to love. Today, I deadlifted for the first time since I stopped and I do have to say my form was not what it used to be. I attempted a weight I probably should have refrained from and like I explained, I annihilated and tore these things on the way up in one pull with the knurling by overly forcing my shins against the bar. If you are this terrible with scraping the bar against your shins (your form 99% likely the cause), no brand of deadlift guards are going to help you. You need sheets of metal strapped to your shin instead. I love the brand and it served me well so I proceeded to order thefitguy ultra version of these when I got home. They have an added layer of protection that is a stronger material on top of the neoprene. Also comes with a second strip of the stronger material so if you somehow abuse them you already have a replacement ready. Remove the old and velcro on the new. Pretty sick idea. (Please make replacement strips available to order if the included replacements also tear.) Excited to try them I'm getting them tomorrow. Best thing this company ever made keep up the great work!
