It is apparently a defect. Coil is too wide. Stretching it carefully and evenly makes coil get even wider. Also, its electrical tabs (connectors) are next size larger than 1/4" tabs used in a GE dryer. Coil is made well but is NOT CORRECT AT ALL FOR 7/16" CERAMIC HOLES!I am a 64 year old, healthy, and recently retired Electronics Engineer who worked for multiple Fortune 100 companies including R&D for one of the top 3 USA appliance manufacturing OEMs. To me it appears someone has been entering fake reviews saying that this coil could be made to work. It would be easier to buy a roll of element wire and wind your own coil than to make this one work. Will return my purchase for credit.DO NOT BUY unless your ceramic mount holes are 17/32" or greater, preferably 9/16".EDIT 09/05/2020: Bought a different Amazon WE11X10007 that its picture apparently had 1/4" connector tabs. It came in labeled as a WE11X10007C; and it worked perfectly because the "C" coil's diameter was 13/32" which easily fed through my GE's 29/64" ID holes of the ceramic mounts. ### ⭐⭐ Was not a fit *by D***T on Reviewed in the United States on October 12, 2019* The heating coil itself was fine. I found it difficult to feed through the porcelain holders. But the main issue was the three tabs from the coil which connect to the connectors in the dryer did not fit. Tabs on the new coil were much wider and would not connect without modification. This cost me a lot of extra time and a trip to Lowes to get parts. This item was not an exact fit for the dryer as advertised. ### ⭐ Coil diameter to big to fit inside insulators *by S***R on Reviewed in the United States on February 4, 2020* Purchased the Dryer Heater Heating Element Coils for General Electric GE WE11X10007 WE11X10007C WE11M23 AP26201 when we received them the ends were to wide to fit into the wire connectors can be trimmed to fit but was a hassle. Pre-stretched them to the correct length went to put them into the porcelain insulators did not fit to large of diameter measured outer diameter of the new coil with a caliper and it was 1 mm larger than the inner diameter of the insulator. Measured the old coil and it was 2 mm smaller than the new coil. Two words describes it all Factory Defect.
