Review: Great helmet with minor finish defects - I think this is a great helmet for the money. I was looking for something smaller than some other helmets and with a chin strap. This one is pretty much exactly what I wanted. In my pics, you can see the helmet is large enough to fit over a chain coif and a collared gorget. And it is short enough to not clang against the gorget too much, providing a decent range of motion. I like the style of the helmet as well. It's basically exactly as pictured in the product description. I do have a couple of minor complaints, hence the 4 stars. Mine came with a couple of discolored spots. I can likely buff them out with carbide sandpaper. The cross cut-out in the visor is not fully cut out in places, leaving sharp metal burrs. I will fix that with my Dremel. And finally, the visor doesn't really stay up well, being fairly loose. So if you raise it to eat, don't tilt your head too far forward.
