Use sand paper 220 and 320 to smooth out and blend surface before using paint. Primer if you have to. So far It is a great kit, shipping takes time, but overall paint came out great. My bumper hit the point where everything nearly peeled off. I initially shopped prices to get the car painted and they were all 2k-5k range(more than the car's worth). I decided to give it a shot and the results were better than I thought. You definitely NEED to sand a little and put primer down BEFORE you begin painting.
