Science and Human Transformation: Subtle Energies, Intentionality and Consciousness

Unfocused
For context: I am a chaote and very interested in the union of science and paranormal phenomena. This book is trying to be too many things at once, and this decoherence reduces its effectiveness in all areas. It's advertised as effectively a scientific paper on a novel multidimensional theory of physics to explain paranormal phenomena, but immediately the foreword and first chapter makes references to philosophical concepts like love and consciousness without formal definitions, later on devolving into consciousness-raising and anti-western new age sentiments. Some chapters are basically data dumps of very specific phenomenon, whereas others have a specific point and reference a variety of phenomena to "prove" it, which is scientifically backwards. This is really 3 books smashed together into an incoherent mess which leaves its 3 audiences (scientists, psychics, and new agers) all dissatisfied. It needs to be split into 1. an academic paper detailing the theory, its qualitative and quantitative aspects, and suggested methodologies for further refinement, 2. a compendium of interesting validations of paranormal and psychic phenomena and 3. a treatise on how the world needs to raise its consciousness and how to do it.As for the core theory, it reads a lot like it was thought of first and retroactively proven. Not that it's invalid, it feels more like the epicycle theories of planetary motion before we realized we had a solar system - epicycles, fittingly enough because the book talks a lot about fourier transforms which are intimately connected, are capable of describing all forms of movement with arbitrary precision. I think the theory is too general and needs a few years trying to reduce and simplify it as much as possible so it's able to make meaningful predictions with the primary goal of fitting as much phenomena as it can, piece by piece. Start with the 2 conjugate spacetimes because that has a lot of explanatory power - the surrounding "emotion", "mental", and "spiritual" planes are alarming to a skeptic and explain very little since none of these are ever actually defined quantitatively. The concept of deltrons feels like a hacky patch to the system and are treated effectively like magic "does whatever you want" particles, though I don't think it's entirely a lost cause because of how it connects to chaos magick. Chaos Magick says that belief is the primary means of reality manifestation, so conceptions of "energy" are ultimately psychological and infinite; experientially there does seem to be a fundamental limit, eg seance circles require several months of group effort for the "energy" to build, no matter how adept or believing its participants. Deltrons would resolve this, as they suggest there's infinite psychic energy in the conjugate plane, but access to it is limited by the concentration of deltrons. As for the writing... Informationally it's very sparse. There are chunks of really terse technical information, but in between the same things are repeated over and over again with the floweriest of language. This isn't academia, you don't have to impress anyone. Try to state things as tersely as possible - reading through, if anything could be removed without changing the meaning, remove it. And if many sentences contribute to one idea, combine them. I actually got so bored reading by page 220 that I started skipping pages, skimming, and even skipped the last 2 chapters (though I was already familiar with radionics). This could easily be a 100 page book if the fat was trimmed properly, which would make it much more accessible.Thank you for coming to my TED talk

Great book so far!
This book is so well written and very detailed. If you’re looking at a book like this then more than likely you have some knowledge about subtle energies, and this is a great expansion to bridge the gap the humans perceive between science and spirit. Enjoy!

Paradigm shifting
Dr. Tiler's book will no doubt go down in history as one of the most important books on alternative physics. This book outlines the new physics that are changing the world as we speak.Perhaps most important are the author's descriptions of a new way to understand and think about the physics of acupuncture and the meridians. Present-day science cannot yet explain how acupuncture, acupressure and meridian massage work, yet they does. The author de-mystifies the mystical. The book is paradigm shifting, and for this reason, deserves five stars.

Paradigm shifting
Difficult to read if you are not a math/physics whiz. Even so, there is much to gain by reading this book. So much of our understanding of physics a la Descartes is outdated in light of Tiller's experiments and models. This book will change your perception of things such as telepathy, clairvoyance, and healing through meditation. Mind blowing to say the least.

Science and human transformatiion
Too complicated for me, too much higher mathematics. I recommend it for someone that is both interested in spirituality and who knows a lot of mathematics.

Author's rebuttal to Roger Stout's Review
I suspect that Roger Stout set out to try to trash this book without first going through the effort of seriously reading it. This can be readily seen from the word equation that he misquotes. He obviously didn't read the surrounding text with any care to see what kind of a pedagogical bridge I was building via that set of word equations. The point about direct space and reciprocal space that seems to have eluded Stout is that, together, they aoutomatically provide for both the particle aspect and the wave aspect of substance, the two fundamemental but entangled features dealt with by quantum mechanics. The novel approach that I have taken in this book allows one to distinquish these two complementary aspects simultaneously. Furthermore, it is surprising to me that a supposed professional engineer would make the mistake of trying to compare the distance scale of reciprocal space since this is a frequency scale. They do not have the same units of measurement and, therefore, cannot be directly compared, as undergraduate engineers in all universities are taught. If Stout had not been so intent on his "lashing" goal, he might have realized that the very small in direct space corresponds with the very high frequency region in reciprocal space. Likewise, the very large in direct space corresponds with the very small frequency region of reciprocal space. Since high frequency for photons corresponds with high particle energy, he shold have at least seen how the particle size scale in the angstrom and below range match qualitatively with the energetics of fundamental particles. As an illustrative example, if a time domain pattern has a 10 nanosecond interval, then its frequency domain counterpart along the inverse time coordinate would be comprised of a set of waves localized around 0.628 gigahertz for the first band. Likewise, if one has a direct spaces spherical object of 1 angstrom diameter, the first band counterpart in reciprocal space would be comprised of waves in the 6.28 x 10 ^8 cm ^( -1) range. Changing the scale of direct space units that one wishes to use just produces a corresponding scale change of the reciprcal space units one must use. Stout states how much he liked Talbot's book, "The Holographic Universe", yet he seems to have missed the crucial point that the entire basis of holography is wave diffraction. Further, the resultant wave intensity diffracted from any kind of direct space geometrical object can be shown to arise from the modulus of the Fourier Transform for that geometrical shape. He should have learned this in his electrical engineering classes. It is sad that Stout was so intent on trashing this book rather than reading it with an ip mind-he might have learned something useful for his life! As a final comment by the author to this open forum , this book was not in any way casually written, and I know that is is challenging for some readers. However, one should keep in mind tht it was based on 35 years of personal experimentation and thought by an acknowledged world-class expert in several areas of academic science. This same author taught for over 30 years at one of the most prestigious universities in the world, Stanford University, and was selected to be Chairman to study these new areas of human experience. During his industrial and academic career, he has published over 300 peer-reviewed scientific papers in various international journals plus 3 three technical books, all of which have meaningfully aided the evolution of the materials science and materials engineering fields. Can Stout, the trasher, claim as much! In today's world, unfortunately, it seems very easy to trash the works of others. It is much more difficult to constructively build upon them. Roger Stout would be well served by paying more attention to his intenttions than to his misquided logic.

Truly a scholarly- in depth -scientific approach to energies and phenomena currently outside common scientific acceptance
Truly a scholarly- in depth -scientific approach to energies and phenomena currently outside common scientific acceptance. Not for the light hearted reader as it contains complex mathematics, physics and quantum mechanics, as tools to prove these phenomena which ultimately it does. It is interesting to note the experiments that have been conducted in a scientific manner, that show the interaction between the thought-reality process. This book goes into the group of literature that relates to how reality is ultimately a thought process. Being science savvy, it is a further insight, as to how quantum mechanics is finally providing "proof" of this. Definitely recommended

Modern physical science and consciousness
This book creates a bridge between modern physics and the realm of subtle energies. With well founded experiments and deep and suggestive theoretical ideas, it opens the way to an expansion of our scientific conceptions to include those other energies that are increasingly important for our comprehension of the world around us.
