I am amazed at how much this has improved his vocab generally - new words seem to be popping up unexpectedly in his spoken English too which always surprises me! I have also found that these 'fill in the missing letter' tests are helping his problem-solving, highlighting the different parts of speech (noun or verb) and improving spelling. Highly recommended. He is now on to Book 2 and we will continue with this during his Year 6. He has been doing one test a day and then repeating it the following day with a new test to aid memorisation and this has been effective. Now we are onto Book 2, I am trying to recycle Book 1 tests periodically and then highlighting any that he doesn't remember. I can't recommend these highly enough. Review: A really useful and fun book - A great book and great addition to the 11+ related material that we already own. The perfect size for taking away or on holiday (Which we did!!!) that enables quick bits of revision here and there and on the go whilst out and about. I love the fact that there are problems of differing difficulty and the book is simple and easy to navigate.
