Yesterday, I went to turn the crank to lift the umbrella and the cloth part of the umbrella did not move. The rope had broken. I called Amazon to get a refund and was told that since this is a third party supplier, the return policy was only 30 days! The best Amazon could do was 80% back. Amazon would pay the shipping, but I had to provide the box, which at the UPS Store COST $40.00! After another call to Amazon and talking to a supervisor, I was able to get Amazon to pay for the box, since they are the ones who wanted the umbrella returned. I have given up on roper umbrellas and was able to purchase a high quality umbrella, from Galtech for $299.00, which uses a cable instead of a rope. You can get replacement parts for the Galtech and it has a two year warranty. Blessings...John B.
