It kept the water cold for a decently longer period. It also offers decent protection for the glass jar but glass is glass and glass will always shatter. I like the design although some of the writing is unnecessary I would have preferred less waffle on the side. My main concern is that when screening the lid on there isn't much travel. I have concerns that there may be leaks or the top will fall off once the gasket (plastic part that creates the seal) starts to wear.Update:after using this bottle for a while now I can say that the mouth piece is way too big, this leads me to believe this is not even designed for the use as a water bottle.
