Size up accordingly. 34 waist, and ordered XL. Fits, but are short and low rise. They have a tiny sewn in pouch, which is a good idea , but didn't fit the package right. Had to cut out, and wear a thong or other type of underwear for best fit. Must be brave and have good physical look to wear outdoors, as they are short and revealing.

The jock strap is sewn to the waistband and unless your package is miniscule you cannot get into the shorts. Jock had to be modified by wife for shorts to fit.

I find them to be small, so definitely go a size up.  That being said, they are very short and are very low rise, so expect to wear them that way.  The built-in jock / thong is somewhat loose fitting, but fine for lounging around the home or pool.  I actually wear them to bed and around the home on hot days and evenings.
