Excellent for letting your hand slide over paper and not transferring oils from the skin to the paper. You could try a playing card as a barrier. I would however be more concerned why the screen getting so hot **Q: Are these necessary?** A: Absolutely a must according to my 18 year old daughter. Saves oil on the tablet or screen when sliding up and down doing pen work. Pk of 4 means she can hand wash and dry all week and still have a clean one. She advised changing 3x a week **Q: Is the largest size best for large hands?** A: I suppose so, measure your hand using the photo example and choose the size.
