Review: Good Starter Set - You Will Want More! - I purchased 3 of these sets, along with quite a few add-ons. Initially I purchased them for a young grandchild and he likes for me to build tracks for him to use with battery-operated cars that came with the sets. What I didn’t anticipate was that track design and building would be a group activity both kids and adults in our family would enjoy. No wonder its recommended ages are 3-99. We all contribute cooperatively to the process and have come up with some pretty elaborate tracks. We still haven’t figured out how to best incorporate some add-on track pieces. A 3 year old’s ability to build a track is likely limited to very simple versions but magnets make it easy for them to connect track pieces. So far, we haven’t broken a single track support and all our vehicles are running well. We have been using these tracks for about 6 months. Since we aren’t stomping on or throwing them, I can’t speak to how much abuse they can withstand. I do know that running several cars on a track can result in slight separation of track pieces and thus, derailment. I suspect the magnets can’t prevent movement once multiple vehicles cause constant vibration. Overall, these car track sets have been a fun addition to family get togethers. Just be prepared to keep expanding your collection!

**Q: Where can I buy the column pieces separate? These should be offered outside of a kit ?**
A: You can’t buy them separate. They are only in a kit.

**Q: How do you get the batteries in the car? There are no directions!**
A: The battery compartment on both cars in my set was covered making it impossible to insert a battery—an obvious defect noted by other buyers. Since I didn’t open the set until past the return time., I resorted to snipping the cover off. This worked, and I was able to place the battery and get the cars to function. however I would’ve definitely returned if i hadn’t waited past the return period.

**Q: After inserting batteries, one of car's wheels will not turn. Suggestions?**
A: I had issues with the cars not working. The seller was amazing and replaced the cars for me with some amazing plastic ones. Reach out to the seller.

**Q: Are cars sold separately?**
A: Yes!
