Once I fitted to my cushions, I used safety pins to pin the edging to itself and keep it in place. I only wish they had included some sort of pins to keep it in place on the cushions, but the quality is great. My dog's toenails don't scrape the coating off or damage it, and even when I've heard loud "contact" (like she is stretching out and her paws scrape the fabric, or she jumps off) there's no discernable damage to my eyes. I think this is due to the flexibility of the fabric! Great purchase, definitely feels like faux leather but that's fine with me.
