It comes in a pack of three. I keep one in my diaper bag for when we go out, and the other two for in house use. My son already peed on it while I was changing his diaper and it is waterproof! He peed a decent amount to wet my bed where I was changing him, but with this liner my bed ended up dry. I know the instructions say to hand wash and air dry, but I decided to put it in the washing machine and dryer. To my surprise, after washing and drying, it still came out pretty good, like new again! I was also able to remove a poo stain by filling a bucket with water and oxy clean and just letting it soak for a day, and the stain was gone. Then I put it in the washing machine and finally put it on the dryer under delicate cycle, and it came out looking like new. The material is soft and after washing it still kept its softness. Fortunately, we haven't had to test the limits of these pads but so far, for the few minor spills we've had, they've held up nicely. The fabric isn't super soft but it also doesn't feel like plastic. Imagine a terrycloth texture, if you will. Not a fluffy one. It does get cold so when I place my baby on it, he shivers a little. After washing it and drying it, it shrunk a little, but that's not an issue with us as it still fits perfectly on our table. Also, the edges lifted a little after the wash. Sort of like the edge's fabric shrunk but not the pad itself.
