It's the standard wide folder size at spine-width 70mm (the narrower standard spine-width is 50mm). The lever works well, though a tad stiff (might loosen up?). The paper-compressor bar works fine. When you close the folder, wiggle it so that the little metal bar on each hole "locks" with the metal rings, to stop the front cover flapping. There's a finger-hole to help you humans when pulling the folder toward you and down from a shelf. On the spine there's some space above the flamingo drawing for a label.The folder's roomy and ideal for storing my copious A4 notes on filter-feeding brine shrimp and blue-green algae (I'm writing a recipe book), and on ways to improve my nasal honking in our ritualised displays.Sadly, the back of the folder has only a small flamingo image, with most of the space effectively blank, and I deduct half a star for that as the flamingo drawing should be much larger! After all, every flamingo is proud to be the national bird of the Bahamas. Give me a moment to preen my feathers and I'll happily pose for a bigger drawing.
