To be honest, I didn't know if this would actually work for the price. I'm a teacher, so I want to be able to move around the room while using a PowerPoint. I was so happy this worked! Just plug the the little receiver into a USB port on your computer, turn on the remote, and start your PowerPoint. It works! Very pleased to find such a low cost solution!Update to review: I just wanted to add this works with other programs, too. So far, I can confirm it works with Smart Notebook, PDFs, and Prezi. Still very happy with this remote. It makes teaching so much easier because I can move around the room. Love it!

At my company I do Power Points a lot and really depend on this Wireless remote. I have owned many different remotes and this one is by far the best. After using it for about 6 months I thought about what if I lost the remote or the receiver and since I Iike it so much I bought a spare one. Recently I did lose the USB remote, left it somewhere in one of the company computers and never to be seen again. You can buy replacement USB receivers here on Amazon which I bought two of those. I always read all the reviews on products and the USB receiver where about 50/50 on what people thought about them. They don't cost but about $7.00 dollars each so I bought two just to give it a try. Once I did receive the USB receivers I had to try them out after reading some of the bad reviews about them and then I found out why some said they don't work at least I think I know why. They probably just plugged the USB receiver into their computer forgetting they have to press the CONNECT BUTTON on the back of the remote before the USB receiver will work! Anyway I think this is a great product and the best remote I've ever had. I am a teacher and I use this little clicker almost daily for presentations. It is so easy to set up and use! It was recommended to me by another teacher in our building as the remotes have stopped working on a lot of our in house projectors. It has adapted well to all of the presentation platforms: Google Slides, Prezi, and Power Point. I use this on a Windows computer, but the setup is very much a plug and play (no tech guys needed) so I feel confident it would work on Apple products as well. I also love the integrated laser pointer. Great find!

Right out of the box, this thing was so easy to use! After adding a AAA battery and putting the USB from inside the case in my computer, it was ready to go. No installing, going through programs, trying to get it to communicate with my computer, it was just ready! The pointer button is nice and central on the remote and works great. I love that it has the black out screen button option for when I'm trying to get my powerpoint ready. The only thing I wish is that the forward and back buttons weren't so much on the sides of the remote. Every once in a while I accidentally hit them when I didn't mean to or have to hit them twice, but overall, GREAT product and well worth the money!

August 3, 2015. Ordered on 8/1/2015 and received it on 8/3/2015. The clicker is small, love this, needs one AAA battery to operate but is not supplied. So far I have tried it out on google presentation, Smartboard presentation and Prezi, and all of them move to the next slide with the page up/down buttons. These same buttons will scroll down/up a page if you are in a word document, PDF or even on an internet page. The escape/resume button refreshes a page which might be more useful if you are on a web page. The red laser works but I will need to use it under the conditions for which it was bought for which is a classroom. Receiver fits a standard usb port and the visible part sticks out from the computer about 5/8 inch (see image - it's the topmost receiver).All of the above was done without an external monitor, so I'm not sure what to think regarding the blackout screen feature. It just does not work on my computer. Until I get to test the clicker in my classroom and an external projector, I'm knocking off some stars since the blackout screen feature is necessary for me as a teacher. Not sure if I have a defective unit but I will update.Update: 3 stars to 5 stars 8/22/2015 I contacted customer service about the dark out feature and they were super nice and sent me a replacement item. All is well now and thank you to Beboncool's great service. A+++

I really liked the product and used it effectively in my lectures. But after 9 months it has stopped working entirely. I've poked and prodded at the connections and tried a few batteries to no avail. Again, it's a good product when it works, but I think a 9-month life-cycle is short even for electronics. And given the reliability issues, if I were to buy it again I'd have to buy two of them to make sure I had a backup in case the first failed during an important presentation. Price matters, and they're selling them at a great price, but reliability also matters.Edit: They sent me a new unit at no charge. Very good customer service. I'm hoping the failure of the first unit was just bad luck. Will update this review if this isn't the case. In the meantime, I'm very pleased with the seller--if you have an issue, contact them.

I run a PowerPoint worship service at two nursing homes each week, putting everything on the screen in very large print so those in attendance can see and participate. Worship has gone so much better since I got this product and started using it. It works when I put the dongle in the port on my laptop, works from anywhere in the room, and makes me look as though I know what I'm doing. The only "maintenance" it needs is for me to remember to turn it off between uses to extend battery life. I'm in my fifties and my young-adult son showed me how to use it in about a minute. When I'm not using it, I keep it in the drawstring bag provided, which fits easily into my small bag.

This thing works great on my Macbook Pro. It takes a while to "find" the connection but once it is connected it seems to work very well. I don't really know what all the other buttons do as I just use the previous and next buttons in my Google Slides presentation.
