Installation on my '06 Heritage Softail Classic was very straightforward and easy. I mounted it on the forward facing side of the license plate holder with the original license bolts. I may replace later. I used 6x9 flags that were suggestions from desertcart to complete the package and they work well. Only thing that is stopping me from giving this five stars are the plastic clips that come with it. ***Update*** I was right about the plastic clips. So far I've had it for a few months and had no problems. The clips hold, its super easy to install. I might add that the poles are actually built at a slight tilt so you can't install it backwards without problems which was my original intent.
