They are not solar lightsNo complexities with these, just unscrew the base of the light, remove the plastic paper disc between each battery - yes each light needs 2 batteries which are included. The light immediately comes on once you have removed the disc. However, if you want to save the battery power, gently unscrew the base of the light and the light will go off. This does mean however that you would need to turn the base of each light in order to switch them on when dusk falls. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great value lights *by W***9 on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 26 June 2020* The media could not be loaded.  These little lights are so bright and easy to use. I use about 4 of them in a little water feature I made in my garden. They sit in approx 47cm of water and still give a really good light. It's lovely to sit and watch the water changing colour in the evenings.
