They send it and strip the leaves from it so it is not stressed. Within 1 day, there was new foliage and in less that 1 week it is has produced leaves and one new bud. I received other roses from reputable rose nurseries around the same time, but I have to say that Heirlooms is the healthiest. I will be buying all of my roses from them. They are pricier but worth it. The other bushes I received a year ago are doing quite well.
