I put the powdered soup in at about 6:30am, pour boiling water over it, and at Noon it is perfect! Easy to open and easy to clean. There is a button in the middle of the inner lid that will release the vacuum seal, making easy to open and prevents the usual little explosion that can happen when opening something under pressure. Even comes with it's own spoon if you need it.Had tried a smaller Thermos brand one that did not keep my food warm enough..would have to pour into a bowl and microwave, plus the Thermos one leaked in my bag every time. This one has NO leaks and the food is still hot at lunchtime. And the price is certainly good!
