The filter with the soft (rubber?) edge is quite unique! Cleans the pot of ALL grounds as you press them down. We thought we had finally picked a keeper with this one. It looks elegant, is easy to use and clean, and pours comfortably without dribbling. However....after 3 months the plastic holding the screens together broke. Unfortunately, the press is only guaranteed for 30 days.When the screen assembly breaks---and it will because the lightweight plastic cannot hold up to repeated use--two replacement screens (yes, you must buy two) are available for purchase. They will cost almost as much as the entire coffee press. I have downgraded this product to 1 star for that. I no longer recommend it, and sorely regret not checking out the cost for replacement parts before purchasing. But, then, I fully expected it to last longer than 3 months. To make matters worse, this company's customer service is non-existent.My good idea to clean out the grounds: Pour about 3/4-1 cup of water into the carafe, then pour out through a small strainer.
