## Overview

Roto-Rim is a specialized sanding tool designed to attach to a ¼ HP or greater electric motor shaft, spinning at 1750 RPM to sand the rims of standard 12 oz beer bottles (2.42” diameter). Made in the USA, it features a steel cup and foam pad that securely hold bottles like Corona for fast, precise sanding of inner and outer edges. Ideal for DIY crafters aiming to produce up to 30 smooth drinking glasses per hour, it supports wet sanding to reduce dust and improve safety.

## Description

Roto-Rim is designed to be used with standard twelve ounce beer bottles with diameter of 2.42”. No other size bottle will be properly balanced in Roto-Rim. Components of Roto-Rim: Cup: 3.000” OD, 2.875” ID cold drawn seamless steel tube 3 ½” long welded to: 3”OD x 1/8” thick steel disk. Arbor: ½” smooth female to mount on motor shaft, ½” female threaded for cup bolt. ½” diameter bolt to secure cup to arbor. 4”x 8” polypropylene closed fiber foam pad, ¼” thick. Instructions will include: Suggestions on the best way to cut the bottles, recommended motor and foot switch and recommended sanding materials.

Review: Great tool for serious bottle crafters - The Roto-Rim makes easy work out of sanding 12 ounce bottles. Once the 1/4 hp motor, optional foot pedal and sanding tool are set up, it only takes a minute or so to smooth the edges of a bottle perfectly. In the demo video I use diamond coated sanding blocks, but regular sheets of sanding paper and a wooden block will also work. This tool will make a great gift for DIY'ers wanting to create a lot of recycled drinking glasses, vases, candle holders, etc to sell at craft fairs or online. The Roto-Rim makes easy work out of sanding 12 ounce bottles. Once the 1/4 hp motor, optional foot pedal and sanding tool are set up, it only takes a minute or so to smooth the edges of a bottle perfectly. In the demo video I use diamond coated sanding blocks, but regular sheets of sanding paper and a wooden block will also work. This tool will make a great gift for DIY'ers wanting to create a lot of recycled drinking glasses, vases, candle holders, etc to sell at craft fairs or online.
