The AL Series does not contain Bromelain or Papain because some people are sensitive to them because of their sources. Bromelain comes from pineapple and Papain comes from papaya. The AL Series is Gluten Free. Gluten is a protein found in wheat grains. Therefore it is in foods like bread and pasta.

I break apart the capsules to drop the contents on my tongue and then wash it down with water. I have tried other brands with this method and they have tasted like pure chemicals—completely unbearable. This one tastes a little like flour—not the best taste of all tastes, but the best taste of enzyme capsules that I’ve come across. Definitely makes an impact and helps my digestion (which was the whole purpose of finding digestive enzymes in the first place). Please keep selling this! It’s very hard to find!

I cannot swallow pills but desperately needed digestive enzymes. I’ve tried several brands and these were the best tasting after breaking apart the capsules. My naturopathic doctor recommended these. I break apart the capsules to drop the contents on my tongue and then wash it down with water. I have tried other brands with this method and they have tasted like pure chemicals—completely unbearable. This one tastes a little like flour—not the best taste of all tastes, but the best taste of enzyme capsules that I’ve come across. Definitely makes an impact and helps my digestion (which was the whole purpose of finding digestive enzymes in the first place). Please keep selling this! It’s very hard to find!
