I'm 5ft 11 and have a 'standard' model. Most days this works fine. But, there are days - an increasing number of days - when tight leg muscles makes the standard bench a shade uncomfortable to use with it sitting directly on a hardwood floor. I have to sit the legs of the stool on a folded blanket and put my onto the floor. Just to get an inch or so of extra height. So, I'm thinking of buying a 'tall' model now. All in all, I highly recommend the stool.
