At least the two I bought do, I bought two bikes at different times and they both have coaster brakes as well as a handbrake for the front wheel. Both bikes are the smallest size, I think 12", so maybe the larger versions don't. Purchased it in 2020 for his 4th birthday. He’s about to turn 6 and it’s still too heavy for him. Our son is very skinny not sure if that matters but he does really good with everything else— scooters, roller skates, skateboard.
