It was water proof for a little bit.Edit:We put the watch in rice and it cleared up the condensation and my son put the watch back on. However, less than 3 months later the watch has stopped working altogether. It's almost like the battery is dead, but a new battery has no effect. Find a different watch, or be prepared to get a faulty one.
