I own 8-10 pairs of knuckle guards, all from different companies, so I've seen wide variations in quality. My two cents:Although these look good, fit well and are made of a comfortable material I can not recommend them. There is simply not enough padding on these, they are very thin and lack shock absorption. The actual material covering your knuckles is paper thin. Given the price point on these, you'd be better off looking at one of the bigger combat sports brands. ### ⭐⭐ Way too big for average woman's hands *by J***B on Reviewed in the United States on May 6, 2018* I bought these hoping to alleviate knuckle pain during my heavy bag work at a boxing gym. Unfortunately, they just don't fit well enough to do any good. I'm a female 5'6" about 135 pounds, and the S/M size were way too big for me. I tried them anyway, thinking that with wraps, they might be secure enough to cushion my knuckles. Alas, still no help. These may be okay for larger people, but they just didn't work for me. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very Happy *by S***G on Reviewed in the United States on April 14, 2019* Used the gel knuckle shields for the first time today. I used them under my hand wraps and they added a little too much bulk (I use 180" wraps) and made getting my gloves on a little harder. Still, they offered nice protection. I then took off gloves and wraps, left shields on and hit the heavy bag for a while. They worked great all by themselves, as good as just my wraps - I typically alternate gloves on/off when hitting the bag.
