It has a mild texture, works very well with watercolors, gouache and graphite. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Pleasure to use, great price, good learner's paper *by G***L on March 21, 2020* As a beginner in watercolor, I have tried many papers that made my learning journey more difficult. I have been looking for a paper that was reasonably priced and did not get in the way. I have certainly given this paper a workout in lifting color, too much water, layering and lifting after dry etc. So far, I have had no piling or sign of paper deterioration and am very pleased with how it performs. I love 100% cotton paper, but don't want to use it except for final efforts. At this point, this paper has held up so well, I would not mind using it for framing. For my type of art, that is animals and plants, it works fine. I dont do large washes. Will update review if experience changes, but would recommend to give it a try. Update 3-30-20: beginners lesson learned to share. I completed the painting and noticed some pilling in certain areas. The areas where I used a regular pencil eraser to lighten my sketch pilled in some areas. Where I used a kneaded eraser did not.
