I finally ordered the book , and I was so happy I did. You don't have to be a "Y" seam expert to make many of these quilts. They are beautiful and there are a few antique quilts in this book also just for your viewing pleasure. The quilts run from "any level" to "advanced", and the instructions are clear and precise. There are step by step photos of many of the processes so you don't have to figure out in your mind's eye what the instructions mean. Template patterns are included along with "quick piecing" instructions to form half square triangles. There is also listed instructions if you want to make life a little easier and purchase the templates or even the applique pieces from Laundry Basket Quilts. I highly recommend this book to any quilter, there is one quilt as simple as a basic log cabin that is laid out in a star shape that any beginning quilter could accomplish. These are "wow" quilts, not simple , quick ones, but are they all difficult??? No, not at all!
