Then I remembered I had this. It started out looking a mess. It took more than 5 minutes of beating high speed for it to look like it was going to work. Then it started to really whip. By the 9 minute mark it was wonderful thick sturdy meringue. It baked beautifully and tastes delicious * 2 important notes #1 I used a kitchen aid. Probably much better results than if I used a hand mixer. #2 I didn't realize until the 2nd batch that I had used 3/4 cup instead of 1 cup (didn't even know I have a 3/4 cup scoop). It turned out perfect. I then made a 2nd batch the same with great results. I had just 1/2 cup left and beat it with 1/4 cup water. So if you measure correctly, you'll get 2 batches from the package. But you can get by using less. My only negative is the price. It works out as $5-7+ per pie. Which is quite a bit to add on. I'll try to remember to come back, if there's any left, to let you know how it holds up.
