I wash top glass jar in dishwasher and hand wash metal lid with handle. Metal part is heavy duty. I am very pleased with this dispenser. **Q: Where is this product manufactured?** A: I tossed the packaging and it does not show on the product. It seems a little higher quality than I would expect from China, but might be from Taiwan, Malaysia etc. Amazon has one from "American Metalcraft" but I'll bet the only thing about it that is American is the name. It does not say and I expect if it were American they would state that. Sorry I could not help. **Q: Can you purchase a replacement seal ? If so what's the cost ?** A: I don't think so. I looked all over and could not find one. I found something that looked like it would work but it cost less to buy a new dispenser. The first one I had sheared the seal very quickly. I have learned to very lightly tighten the top once it makes contact with the seal and my second one has held up about 8 months now and shows no signs of compression or shearing. The seal is very soft and needs almost no pressure to make a good seal. **Q: Can I microwave the glass?** A: Yes but because of the shape, you have to put it in the microwave for only 30 to 40 seconds or the syrup or liquid come out over the top. You can't have the lid on it in the microwave.
