The head is the part with the handle. Then pull the Piston rod up the way to the very end, which will require proper strength. Install the Grease Cartridge Remove the plastic cap from one end of the new cartridge, then insert this open end into gun barrel and push it fully in so that the end of the cartridge seals with the end of the barrel. Now past the return window and I have a $50 paperweight that is greasy! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Does what it says and works *by J***R on June 24, 2020* I bought this when I had the occasion of throwing a track on my track loader, in order to put the track back on you need to remove a lot of grease from the track tensioner and then retension with a grease gun. So much grease was needed that a manual grease gun was not cutting it. I purchased this and was able to it retensioned quickly. Grease is delivered via each trigger pull and does not continue to flow by holding the trigger down. This took me a few mins to figure out. Good product, had a small issue with the flexible hose but it was replaced without question.
