I'd been thinking of making more surface space by hanging my tv from a corner of a wall in my living room.Did some research... there are hundreds of choices, but, here's why I picked this one.*It has the ability to mount on a wall on a single stud.*It has a way to adjust the tilt by hand if you set it up correctly.*The roughly 18" extension is about 1/2 the size of the horizontal measurement of my 40" LCD screen, so, it allows the maximum swivel for the tv to swing to face one direction or the opposite.*There is always a stud on a protruding corner wall of a room, so, the single stud wall mounting was optimal for my situation.*I really liked the fact that the mount had a "hook" feature so that you could hand the TV on the extension arm and it will hand there until you can go around the back and bolt it in place.***Finally, a pleasant surprise, (that is probably included with most brands) it had mounting bolts in different sizes with extensions, so, It didn't matter that I bought this tv years ago and did not have bolts to attach the tv to the mount.Full disclosure: I am skilled and have tools.You will need a Drill (cordless is fine) and the correct drill bit for the lag bolts that go in the wall. (don't remember the size so, you may have to buy one, or borrow a friends if you don't own a set of drill bits.You will also need a screwdriver (Phillips) and a ratchet set or the correct size wrench for the bolts.The kit comes with an Allen wrench for some of its fittings.This is really not hard to do...because of my skill set, it only took me about 15 minutes.Things to consider....*This mount is for installing into a wooden stud (through one layer of drywall) or into concrete or similar surface only. You cannot attach a tv mount to drywall without a stud. It cannot take the load.*A cable raceway or other cable management system to route all the cables, so it doesn't look like an electrical hazard is leading away from your tv.*You may need to buy longer cables so that you can fit them into a cable management system.* investigate how high you want your tv. Don't put it too high or your neck will be hurting in the morning and you'll be like, "why is my neck hurting"?. I mounted mine to where the bottom is at about 4'. No neck aches.That's about it. If you read this all the way through, you should know a lot about how to think about buying and installing a mount.No matter which one you buy, you can install it. Just takes a few tools and a little planning.

Everything about this is excellent. All the parts are high-quality, it was very carefully packaged, instructions were clear. In our small apartment, the huge range of motion makes this great for switch the viewing angle between living room and kitchen. The 15 degrees of tilt is way more ample than I had expected, and the little lever you use to tilt is very handy and well-implemented - we tilt it for the kitchen and set it straight for the other room, and its very easy to do that. They included a good hdmi cable (always handy) and neat little velcro loops that give you lots of options for simple cable management, so you don't have a crazy cable octopus once you've got this thing set up. Very cool detail.Before I purchased I was unsure about the whole VESA measurement business. Basically, my tv didn't seem to match the specifications. I emailed Echogear's customer service and got amazing customer support. Not only were they super friendly and patient, they tested the measurements I gave them and showed me photos of their test. So, I was able to go ahead confident that this thing was compatible.There are cheaper options for similar products, but I was impressed with the attention to detail on this company's website, and between the quality of the product and the unreal customer support, I really think they are the way to go. Still way cheaper than what I was seeing in stores.The one general thing I would say, in an effort to help those like myself who were inexperienced with this sort of thing, is that when you're installing a tv on a mount, you need a second person to help you. Putting the mount itself together is easy for one person, and drilling into a stud is very easy if you've ever done that. However, regardless of what brand you go with, putting a tv on a mount requires that you have a second person to hold the tv in place while you secure the mount to the back of the tv, otherwise there's just no reasonably safe way for one person to do it all on their lonesome. That may be obvious to you, but it hadn't occurred to me till I went about installing it. Again, that would be true for any brand, but I mention it since none of them seem to like to put that detail out there...UPDATED: Purchasing a second one for a relative. I've had mine for over 3 years and its been great.

Purchased this in July 2019 to hang a 42" Vizio LCD in my office. For the record, this was a Prime Day deal at $24.99, so we couldn't pass it up.Aesthetic - (10/10)All of the components were in great condition right out of the packaging. No scratches, dings, dents, paint runs, etc. like you would normally get with such a bargain. The design allows for the outer arm to sit inside the two inner arms, so the TV sits super tight to the wall, unlike some other designs. Also, the "single stud" setup means you don't have to worry about hitting a stud across multiple mounting spots.Installation - (10/10)Absolutely zero issues installing the VESA hardware or the actual mount itself. As I stated before, the "single stud" setup makes mounting the wall plate a breeze. Couldn't have taken more than 20 minutes to install the whole thing.Function - (10/10)This is by far the best functioning TV mount I've ever purchased. The articulation is super smooth in extension, tilt, and swivel. The range of motion is fantastic and very stable once in the right position. The ratcheting knob for the tilt is very easy to use.Durability - (9/10)Admittedly, I don't move this TV a lot, so I can't speak to the durability. However, after 10 months of intermittent use, I can say I've had zero issues with any of the functionality or mechanisms.Value - (12/10)I can't believe I got this mount for $25. Even at $50, this mount would be a great value. I've spent far more on lower quality mounts in the past.Overall, I am extremely pleased with this product and look forward to purchasing again when the need arises for another TV mount.

Have only had up for a few days but does seem like it was built good. For my smaller tv i did not have enough spacers to make it work perfectly so it is currently only held on by 2 out of the 4 screws but it is a smaller tv. Instructions say to contact them if additional parts are needed but for plastic spacers, I not worth the shipping on either side. Finding some washers around the shop will do just fine. The one thing that stands out the most were the instructions. They took time into making it a fun and entertaining process with slight jokes in the assembly instructions. Reading it made me feel like I was a person to them and not just a customer number. Seems like a good product and great company to buy from.

We purchased this mount for our new 50" TV because of the reviews and the fantastic price. I was a little skeptical that it wouldn't be as sturdy or easy to install as the reviews claimed, but I have to say, I was very inpressed!! The mount is strong, sturdy and does exactly what it claims. It was super easy to install and mount our TV on. I absolutely love the range of motion and the ease of using it. We installed it in our bedroom and the features of this mount are amazing for lying in bed watching tv. I would definitely recommend this mount to anyone who is debating whether or not to purchase it! Very happy!

The unit installs on a single wall stud very securely making a nice clean install without whole lot of a cross bracing grid on the wall over two studs. My 55 inch LG fits with a good range of adjustment very well except the bracket now blocks my RJ-45 network jack - good thing I use WiFi for my Netflix. It is not easy to install and it will take good insight of how both your house wall is built and how to assemble mechanical brackets. The average home owner would have a difficult time figuring-out the sequence of how to assemble this mounting kit and a stud-finder tool is a must (the instructions on how to use a stud-finder found in the installation instructions are wrong - do not follow them). If you have the skills, and I do, this is a great unit, at a great price, and Amazon delivered the same day which worked-out excellent in the end - but, check to see if the mount cover-up any of the cable jacks on the back of your TV before you drill holes in the wall.

This is an amazing monitor mount, and that is talking from experience. I thought that I would write this review to try and shine some light on some things that may scare other consumers. The main thing that I would like to talk about is the way that this mount attached to a monitor. My monitor is a 34" Ultrawide monitor from LG, the 34UM88C-P. This mount would not work at first as it covers the port in which the power plug attaches. But this is a non-issue, as in the box that the mount comes in they include long plastic spacers, which they say are to be used with curved monitors so that the flat mount can be used with a curved monitor, but another thing that those spacers allow you to be able to do is to move the monitor mount far enough away from the screen to be able to attach any cables that you need under the surface area that is covered by the mount's face plate that attaches to the monitor.As for the build quality I was again impressed by this mount, it is solid and the joints are actually a touch stiff, which is a good thing, you don't want your monitor moving around without you trying to move it!Mounting this wall mount to the wall is a piece of cake, find the stud, pre-drill the first hole, screw in the screw in the top hole of the monitor mount, then attach the mount to the wall, once that is done you can level the arm and mark the bottom hole, recheck your leveling, then remove the wall mount, pre-drill the bottom hole that you marked out, then attach the mount to the wall with the provided screws. That is it. For me to mount this using a stud finder it took all of 10 minutes, after finding the height and the spot that I wanted to mount the monitor. The extension that this arm has is great, although the cable straps that are included on the mounts arm are not that great, they did not work for me but they may work perfectly for you, I routed my cables through a face plate behind the wall but your mileage may vary.But, please do check the spacing of the connectors on the back of your TV or monitor that you are planning on mounting, as even with the spacers you may not be able to use this mount. Also, make sure that you are using the right length of bolt to attach this to your screen, as if it is not the right length of bolt you could punch through the screen with a bolt that is too long, or if there is a metal stopping plate on the inside of the holes on the monitor you may not be able to tighten down the bolts enough. Personally I had to use two of the washers that were provided to be able to shorten the bolts enough to not be too long.All in all, this is a great monitor/TV mount. I would more than recommend this to anyone looking to have a nice and clean mounting job and not trying to burn through their wallet.

"ECHOGEAR Full Motion Articulating TV Wall Mount Bracket for most 26-50 inch LED, LCD, OLED and Plasma Flat Screen TVs" is the third and best TV wall mount we have tired in our house.-Instructions were detailed and easy to read.-The blister packs were labeled and free of dust, grease, or anything sticky.-Painted well, logo is crisp, and the unit appears to be of solid construction.-All parts accounted for and in good working order.-When installed unit does not sag (TV Weight: 16.8 lbs)Tools: Any drill (not a power screwdriver), 7/32 drill bit, a level.Tips:-You will want the bolts that came with your TV to attach it to the mount, you can just use any properly sized bolts from the hardware store if needed.-My off brand TV required me to add a spacer to it's mounting bolts because it came with weirdly long screws. I just used a nut slightly bigger than the mounting bolts as a substitute for the plastic spacers that came with my TV because I miss placed them.
