You should be able to fit 8 shelves with about 3 inches of space, though maybe a little less than 3". You will have to store the extra shelves elsewhere and when assembling, don't put the extra shelves inside and try to remove later. It works well and is affordable when many carts are 4x the cost.There is room in back to stuff the power adapters that come with laptops, though it takes time and if the cart isn't filled laptops use the lower shelves. The rear door is narrow, so laptops on one side are stored upside down so their power jacks are accessible. Wheels needlessly use blind nuts; we'll eventually replace them, as one wheel assembly fell off. Keys have plastic ring holes which wear out. Tray supports sometimes come loose. Good labeling will lower chances carts will be moved before unplugged. The two power cords should be plugged into different circuits.These may sound like a lot of problems, but the units are still sturdy after many years of constant use. Watch out for big-name distributors that now charge double for this unit. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great product, great service *by R***H on October 17, 2015* We bought this cabinet to house 24 Chromebooks that we will use for training sessions. As we were putting it together, one of the locking panels fell over and snapped the key off in the lock. I was able to fish the broken piece out, and one email to the seller produced a whole set of replacement keys at no charge! That's some top-notch customer service right there. As for the cabinet itself, it's a solid piece that should last us many years, and it's super-convenient to be able to keep the Chromebooks all charged while they're in storage. ### ⭐⭐ The price was great but *by T***R on February 12, 2017* It's too small to fit 24 devices. The price was great but we had to spend a lot more to fit our chrome books. We put 20 iPads into it to get some use out of it.
