Another surprise is how much cooler to the touch the new pump runs - I could not touch the older pump when it was operating as it ran so hot it would burn my hand. It's supposed to be arriving Tuesday, so I can't comment on any differences. I can tell you that the pool company gave me a TWM 19 diameter sand filter, & it's been just fine for us.
