Did not use enough to comment about ergonomics. I used it to trim my dogs facial hair, around legs and tail. It did not hurt my hands. I haven't tried them all but I've definitely tried a bunch and these are Still my favorite Grooming shears... I've been using them everyday on all breeds for a couple months now, and the most out of my selection of shears. They are still very sharp, they really are very well made, a nice strong shear, they make a nice clean cut. Comfortable in my hand, I cant say enough good stuff about these. In my book these are 100x better than the master grooming 5200 series shears SO much better, if you are familiar and like those ull LOVE these. I used to like the 5200 series now they are my back ups. I have yet to sharpen, I absolutely love these! Love love Love them! The size is useful for everything from ears and muzzles to undersides and feet.However, unless you have silicone loop inserts, using them is painful after just a few minutes.I am baffled that at this price point, Andis did not provide even a single loop insert for the thumb. Neither does any of the product packaging or writeup mention getting inserts.
