I did break my bridge putting it on but probably just need more practice with it. It mutes sound about 25%. Also this one you can leave on the bottom of the strings all of the time and then attach it when needed so that is nice. For home practicing I really love the eboot rubber practice mute which mutes about 50% and doesn't put any pressure on the bridge.
