The kit includes a Presta valve adapter which screws onto the Presta valve stem (common on bike tires today) and allows you to use a Schrader type tire chuck to inflate bike tires having Presta valves. I find this type of adapter a bit cumbersome to use, so I also ordered a Presta tire chuck. Since I would also be using this kit to check tire pressure on the car, I bought a couple extra quick-couple air fittings at my local hardware store. With a quick-couple fitting on the end of the pressure gauge hose and mating fittings on the Presta chuck and the Schrader chuck (included in the kit), I can change between the two in just a few seconds. See the photos.When using this gauge, you'll need to be careful when inflating bike tires as the gauge does not indicate the actual pressure in the tire while the air is flowing into it and you can easily over-inflate the tire. You have to release the paddle valve and wait about one second for the gauge to display the tire pressure. This is not an issue as long as you know this is how it works. You can use the gauge to check the tire pressure even if you do not have it connected to your air compressor. If you over-inflate the tire you can easily lower the pressure using the bleeder valve on the side of the gauge assembly (very handy feature).If you will only be using the gauge infrequently you should probably remove the batteries before storing it. You don't want to find a pair of corroded batteries because it's been six month since the last use. BTW...the batteries included with my unit were dead, but since it uses standard AAA batteries, I just grabbed a pair from the cache I keep on hand.The pressure value display is large enough to view easily, but the units indicators (PSI, BAR, etc) are quite small and I found them difficult to read. Once you know the position of each of the units indicators on the display, you can just use the FUNCTION button to cycle through them until you see something in the spot you expect (PSI is on the far left).I think this unit is going to be a lot easier to use than the traditional "stick" type tire gauge, especially on the bike tires. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Teflon tape is included! *by M***E on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on February 4, 2020* Where to begin? I have a compressor in my basement, and it is plugged into an outlet in my basement that is controlled by a 3-way switch. One switch is in the basement and there is another weather proof switch on the driveway side of my house. I have a compressed air outlet on the side of the house, run from the compressor with pex tubing. It’s handy. I can use air to blow off the grill, power nail guns, and inflate tires.I have purchase a number of inflation tools over the years. And they all work. But not for my wife. The problem is that you need to hold the inflator at the correct angle, and with enough strength to make sure you are adding air, not letting air out of the tire.This inflator can actually clamp onto the valve stem. And then it’s a one handed operation. And the digital gauge is very accurate.When the inflator arrives, it comes with a bunch of stuff you will probably never use. Seriously. You will likely put it in a special place. A place reserved for all the crap you think you will need someday. But you won’t. And when you do, you’ll never remember where is is. So just throw it out. Or wrap it up and give it away to someone else at Christmas. Re-gift it. Get rid of it. Most of it. But not the off set inflator attachment. And not the Teflon tape! They include Teflon tape so that you can install the compressor fitting without leaks. It amazing that they include it. Batteries too. You only need about an inch of it, but you won’t remember where the last roll you bought is. Unless you’re a plumber, buying the stuff by the sleeve. So this is a huge help in getting set up.And then there’s the digital gauge. It Is awesome. Simply awesome. Backlit and accurate. I love this tire inflator. Now my wife can inflate her own tires. Not that she will.
